Since it is a new year I figured I would try something new out. This year I am going to set out a new format for this blog. I hope for this to be more interactive between viewers and myself. Along the way I am going to create and post at least one character a month. This is also the year I am going to look for a representetive to find more work. I will be posting sites I find that are inspiration to get this done. I hope to make this site something everyone could use. Thank you and have a great 2014. Let the fun begin.

This was fun project that hung in the gallery at American Greetings.
I found an old photograph from the late 1800s or so and created a piece that would look similar to what I had found. The photo was mounted on this matte. I wanted to create something that looked like an old photograph done in a cartoon style. I didn't want to frame it because I thought it would look like I was trying too hard to make it old looking.

Okay, it is time to buckle down more with this blog. I have been thinking of something new that would be great for this blog. I'm not sure if I want to reformat it or not. For now I will be posting more things. I finished the painting of the Superhero family from earlier. This was just a personal thing I wanted to do about my family. I like doing these things because it is great for practice and keeps my juices flowing.

It has been a very long time since I last posted. I have been extremely busy building a studio and preparing for a solo show that I am very excited for. I hope to see you there. I don't know when it is yet but it will open in September. This image is close to done but is a sample of what will be in the gallery.

I thought it would be fun to do a portrait of my wife and kids as Super Heroes. This is the initial sketch done in Photoshop. I plan on inking it in Illustrator and then going back to Photoshop to finish the coloring. I'm not sure what exactly I want but I'm excited to see how it comes out.
